[edit] How do I track *actual* attendance at events/meetings (not planned) in ScoutManage?

You use the "Activities" feature of ScoutManage. First, create an entry for the event in ScoutManage by doing the following:

  1. Go to [Admin :: Pack/Troop :: Activities].
  2. Click |Edit Activities| near the top of the page (under the page title).
  3. At the bottom of the table, enter the name of the activity. Click |Add|.

Now, to record attendance for the event, you may do so at either the Pack/Troop, Den/Patrol, or individual member level by clicking the appropriate menu entry:

  • [Scout :: XXX's Actions :: Activities]
  • [Den/Patrol :: Activities]
  • [Pack/Troop :: Activities]

Each does the same thing, the only difference is the list of Scouts available for you to update.

Select the date, member name, and activity. For event attendance, you can use a count of "1". Then click |Create|.

You may enter multiple members at the same time by using the |Bulk Entry Form|.

Note that you can track individual events such as "Rockies Baseball Game". Or you can track events as a group "Den Meeting Attendance". For the latter, you may use "Count" to track the number of Den meetings attended.

You may get a report of attendance using the "Activity" series of reports.

Note that this mechanism works for actual attendance. For planned attendance, there is a seperate planned attendance mechanism built into the calendar feature that may be used to query members on who is planning on attending.
