Your scout unit has decided to use ScoutManage to track the progress of the Scouts in your unit. ScoutManage is an internet-based program that is used to keep track of rank advancement, belt loops, pins, merit badges, and other awards that your scout has earned or is in the process of earning.
As a parent, with ScoutManage you can:
- Track your scout’s progress towards their current rank advancement, merit badges, arrow points, and activity badges.
- Communicate with your leader’s information on tasks and activities your son has completed at home.
- Update your scout’s records to make sure your unit always has the most accurate e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and addresses.
- View a calendar of activities for the entire unit or only for your scout. The calendar is continuously updated as new events are added or events are changed.
- Get an up-to-date roster with phone numbers and e-mail addresses for all of the leaders and parents in the unit, always reflecting the most recent information available.
- Get up-to-date information on what your scout’s completed during various events and trips.
- Track dues you and your family owe, and what you have paid.
- Track activity fees, and permission slips due.
- Keep a “time capsule” history of all awards your scout has earned, and when they earned them.
As a unit leader, with ScoutManage you can:
- Track the progress of all the boys in your den, patrol, pack, or troop.
- Communicate with parents on activities their son has completed during unit activities towards advancement and awards.
- Track awards each scout has earned.
- Track what awards need to be purchased before award ceremonies.
- Track what awards need to be presented.
- Communicate when events occur on a unit calendar.
- Track dues and fees that must be paid by each scout.
- Process reimbursements for money you pay on behalf of the unit.
- Track planned attendance for important events, and track necessary permission slips from parents, and Tour Permits for your council.
