Blogs may be created and edited by anyone with unit administrator permission, or blog administration permission. Individual leaders and parents may not create blogs on their own. The intent is to control the use of blogs so they are used for rational unit communications, and do not become too “noisy” with general chat. How you use the blogs and for what purpose is totally within your control.

To manage your list of blogs, click [Blogs] -> Configure Blogs. On this page, you will see a list of configured blogs. You may create new blogs, edit existing blogs, or delete old blogs.

Note: deleting a blog will cause all entries in the blog to be removed.

For each blog, you may specify:

  • Title. The name of the blog.
  • Description. What the blog is about.
  • View Permissions. Who can read the blog. From the “Edit Blog” screen, you can select from the dropdown box Everyone, or Leaders Only.
  • Author Permissions. From the list of blogs, you can click Add New User… to select a user that can write entries to that blog. Only users specifically listed in the “Authors” column may create entries for that blog. To remove a user from the blog, click the [del] button next to the specific user by the specific blog.
